Allegiance Fundraising
UX Research
Overview
Allegiance wanted to overhaul their donor portal, combining the functionalities of two legacy products, while bringing it up-to-date with industry standards and users’ expectations.
My Role
I led user research for consolidation of two distinct products, conducting remote interviews and usability testing, synthesizing data, and communicating insights to stakeholders.
Coming soon.
I loved this client, and I’m excited to share the work I did for them. A more complete case study will be online shortly. In the meantime, here’s a little teaser.
The Client’s Objectives
Allegiance Fundraising provides end-to-end fundraising solutions to their clients, primarily public media and other non-profit organizations. They recently acquired a new product, WeDidIt, which offered their clients a much more streamlined donor portal than their legacy product provided.
Their goal was to consolidate the ease and simplicity of the WeDidIt portal…
…with the functionalities of their legacy product.
Can using a donor portal feel more like interacting with a helpful associate and less like completing digital paperwork?
Methodology
We took a two-pronged approach to our research:
First, we needed to understand the user, her expectations, and what has set those expectations.
Then, we needed to evaluate the existing sites, bearing in mind the client’s objectives and UX best practices.
Finally, we came back to the client, presenting insights and opportunity spaces we had uncovered that could streamline administrative processes while providing new opportunities to reengage user with organization's work and mission.
Stay Tuned…
A complete case study will be online shortly. In the meantime, I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about this engagement.
